Finally, i'm a Graduate

It is 3rd Sept, coming Wed 6th Sept is my convo....yes...my convo...at last..i'm a graduate. I finally obtained my degree, Bachelor of Science (biotechnology) after 3 ½ gruesome and unpleasant years in Monash Univesity. The life in Monash is very different than other’s uni life. Late nights and long weekends sitting in front of the computer typing and rushing reports. Our life practically revolves in going to the laboratory doing experiment, then come home and rush reports. Not forgetting the avoidable stupid assignments and projects no thanks to certain lecturer. Besides that, there are those boring lectures which we paid like rm100 per class. Well this is the life I had for the past 3 ½ years. REPORTS, ASSIGNMENTS and PROJECTS! Semesters after semesters, again and again and Oh..i forgot..the last minute study for the final exam. With the heavy work load, does the management ever really wonder how the fuck we all can pass those exams ah? Some subjects with lenient lecturer are much easier to pass while some stubborn and strict lecturer would simply fail a percentage of student every sem by setting a demanding and hard paper. Consequently, these students have to pay rm3K and repeat the fucking subject for a whole fucking sem! Well this is what I called stupid monash policy.
These so called stupid policies don’t end in the university. Even the registration to attend the convocation itself is a hell process. First we had to pay freaking rm300 for it. Then we’re allocated for a weekday AND a 7.30 PM ceremony. All the people I told gave me same a reaction “Huh? Wednesday? 7.30 pm? What? This is the first time I heard a convocation ceremony to begun at 7.30pm. Wait there’s 1 more thing. On the 27th of July, monash Australia sent us a confirmation of attending the convocation and require us to reply the confirmation form and mail it back to aus by the 3rd of August. It’s like less than a week of time. I was lucky I got it on the 27th, some got it later and some did not even receive it. But what pissed me off was the time frame given to reply. The short time frame means we need to courier it in instead of slow mail. The courier alone will cost rm72! Yes! Rm72! For a plain stupid piece of paper! I’m just a tiny weenie little bit from exploding and start f-ing the management luckily the form can be handed up to the student service. April’s mom on the other hand exploded, she called aussie up, scolded them and get to fax the fucking form over to aus. This is what I called pissed off and scolds power. Hahahahaha……….
I kept wondering why everything must be gone through by the aussie when thing can be managed in Malaysia. Take this convocation for example, since we’re having it here in sunway, why the fuck do we need to submit forms to Australia and pay in AUS$. This is plain rip off!
So anyone interested in monash…please triple think it over. Monash life ain’t what you think it is. Well at least it’s for the biotech and engineering student. AFAIK the business students are having a great time compare to us. Most student end up losing weight due to the stress and many more look much more older..ahem...mature because of it. So if you still want to be a Monashian or you think you have the monash material by all means do so. hahhaahhaha. My advise, GOOD LUCK!!
