JUNE 2007

Well…it's been a while since I've done any update…
So let’s see what happened…in June

1st....

Well the merging process…went on as scheduled….lots of HOO and HAH…lots of confusion….then came the seating shifting….move this move that..

2nd....
Next, the let go…. I have to let go all the account I have been working on for the past few months since I started….i barely left with nothing much but few customers that was passed on. I had to really contact all the customer….from previous handled ones…so I practically need to open the freaking industrial market back.

3rd...
With all the uncertainty, I began to worried…so I asked my boss for opinion…even she worried…she suggested we go see the VP…the first thing she said was…Don’t worry…we won’t let you die….oh! before I forget…we’re sending you to Vietnam for the XXX meeting on the 25-29 June….my response was…nothing but surprised…..

4th...
Then for the next a week and a half, life was really good…I do not have much to do…I practically go meet some customer that was passed on to me……..lepak…out of a sudden…the existing orders asking for stock…and the stock was not ordered….and the extra stock…will not be reaching for another week! There I go explaining to the customers…and all the scolding….boy….this is what I hate…settle people’s mess!!...just the last day, Friday before I left for Vietnam on the 25th….the stock arrived…and the order was sent out. So I settle all my request and then pass on everything that need to be followed up and say au revoir to everyone

5th..
After I came home…anne told her she managed to get some ticket to go watch GT race in Sepang…so I agreed to take the tickets. Well it’s better than nothing la..since the F1 tickets which we nearly managed to get disappeared last minutes…so this is a consolation. So that Sunday morning…we head to Sepang….spent the whole afternoon there….BOY it is damn hot…and the worst was on the way back to my car at 430 pm…all of us got sunburnt!!..so in conclusion, in that 1 particular day
a) we got our ear drum massively vibrated
b) we got our sauna
c) we got our tan

6th..

Then I had to rush to exchange some cash to Vietnam dong…I have 2 million and I brought it to Vietnam…hahahahaha…I am a millionaire there….

7th...
So that morning…on the 25th June…..I woke up…took my limo to KLIA…checked in and then waited for extra 2 hours due to the technical problem the plane had….there I was bored to death…hungry like hell….not to mention thirsty….and then only I can board the plane and flew there.

8th...
Upon reaching Vietnam…the flight became very bad…the turbulence was very bad….till the plane actually dropped down 2 times….my heart almost fell out…hahahahaha…..but even the landing was bad. Then it rain very heavy and to make matter worst, the plane is not connected to the skybridge….only a bus is there to pick up passengers and its not even parked closely to the stair…everyone practically had to walk down the rain into the bus.

9th...
At the airport, again I had to walk down the rain…go up an escalator only to realized, the airport looks like the old Subang airport. The immigration officers are not friendly, not even a smile…following the sign board…I grab my luggage bag and head to the gate. Saw a taxi counter….i ordered a taxi for 75000 vietnam dong…..approximately USD$5….followed the lady to the taxi and went into an Vios taxi…the first corner in the car was a big surprised….the traffic there is havoc. Over taking, queue jumping, honking and half of the lane are filled with motorbikes and bicycles…….anyway…it makes my driving much more better.hahahahaha….one traffic lights after another…about 30 of them and only 7 kms from the airport to my hotel but took more than 40 minutes.

10th...
I reached the hotel at 4pm Malaysian time (Vietnam is 1 hour behind). I checked into the room. Went into their restaurant to have my late lunch. Rested for a while then head out to walk around the hotel getting some souvenir. Just in case I do not have the time to do so for the next few days. Walking out ain’t easy. The pavements are not even. The people look at you everywhere you go. I walked for about and hour then went back hotel. I spent the rest of the night online and watch tv.

11th..
The next few days were practically sitting at the small conference room…listening to the product introduction…and discussions…but the good thing is…i get free food…tons of coffee for spiking….hahahaha…but Vietnam coffee is good….i even got a free dinner boat ride along the river…though its boring…such a big generation gap…cos I am the youngest among the bunch!!

12th...
But still I managed to have some good free time..hehehehe…I actually got the last day mostly free to go for a small trip…walking around the town area…then its time to leave Ho Chi Minh….i woke up early…took a taxi and off I go to the airport….and I am backed to KL by noon….i called back office and got the rest of the day off…

13th...
The next day, i had to go back office…cos it's a working Saturday…a stupid company policy…5th Saturday of the month is a working one. But that morning…there nothing much to be done and I even donated my blood…and I rushed to cineleisure for TRANSFORMERS…damn it is a great movie till a friend of mine even claimed “IT'S BETTER THAN SEX”…
